Seed of Life – Sacred Geometry Symbolism
We are a Judeo-Christian Educational Outpost. However, we do not discount the many other ways that G*D communicates with his children. G*D does not make mistakes. He provides opportunities to find him and seek discernment. For instance, the name of our Sanctuary is the “Seed of Life.” This is a reference to a geometric shape with seven circles overlapping. In Sacred Geometry, it represents the seven days of Creation. Rainbows, Eastern chakras systems, Western musical scales, all are seven in number. The Platonic solids and the well-known Flower of Life and Fruit of Life are based on this fundamental pattern. Our Creator is symbolized by first inner circle (Spherical Octahedron). Where the first two circles intersect, it represents the creation of Light by the Lord. They form a shape known as the Vesica Pisces – from within we see both the eye of G*D and the Christ symbol of the Fish.
We often use the Tripod of Life in our teaching the concepts of balance within Mind-Body-Spirit. When the Seed of Life symbol is expanded and brought into a third dimension, the Platonic solids are formed. It is the Octahedron, when it spins on its axis, that becomes the Merkaba of dimensional Creation again. Here is a very detailed explanation: consciousawareness.info/sacred-geometry
The oldest example of the Seed of Life can be found at the ancient Osirian temple in Abydos, Egypt. Later representations are found in synagogues and churches across the globe. To those concerned about the “Pagan ” or “New Age” implications and associations of using or discussing such symbols, please consider that G*D invented mathematics as a multidimensional harmonic language for us to kythe and be in awe of his Creation. G*D wants His children to seek Him. He knows we all start from different places, different lands, different faiths, different backgrounds. So He provides us with many avenues for exploration… that we might ULTIMATELY seek His SON, who gave His life so that we might find salvation.
WholeWay Home Education
For over ten years we turned our average urban home lot in the middle of Downtown Las Vegas into a Food Forest in the Desert! We combined traditional landscape architecture, permaculture concepts and decorative pruning with permaculture and pruning for production to make a yard that is not only attractive to neighbors, but also fruitful with food and foraging. If we could build a Food Forest in Las Vegas, then YOU can grow one ANYWHERE! Here are some blog entries from our previous incarnation in Las Vegas, NV, WholeWay Home. These blogs provide insight in to building a sustainable homestead in the middle of the city!
