Chakra Healing “Zome” Retreat Rooms
Conceptual Overlay
A series of seven rainbow colored 12’ x 12’ (or 10×10) Zomes are available for individual retreat sessions to get in touch with specific energetic areas of focus. The chakra healing retreat rooms are to be stripped down extremely utilitarian healing rooms. They may be used as a single to three night stay or booked as a seven night progressive stay for complete energy balancing.
Each room should feel like an austere “monastery” room for contemplation with minimal décor that is included only if is utilitarian in nature. Follow “The Amish Rule:” An item is included only IF it serves a meaningful purpose (i.e. not fanciful or frivolous). No superfluous distractions in the room.
The only door faces south. Two windows are positioned on the east and west sides allowing for cross breezes. Floors are raised wood “skid” foundation with poured ‘grounded’ concrete overlay.
The architecture – a zome – to be designed to incorporate Fibonacci-based proportions, enhancing their visual appeal and structural integrity. This approach can be particularly beneficial in creating spaces that feel harmonious and balanced. The Fibonacci sequence appears in various natural phenomena, such as the arrangement of leaves on a stem, the branching of trees, and the flowering of artichokes. Additionally, the ratios of successive Fibonacci numbers converge to the golden ratio, approximately 1.618.

Wood with Hub Build
https://www.amazon.com/Thunder-Domes-Zome-6-Geodesic-Dome-Hub/dp/B0CNS8XLN2/” (on amazon)
For ALL THREE builds
All three of these options will require a wood “skid” base to be constructed on the preexixting graded and rocked building pads. this is so they can be moved off site or even sold if plans change in the future. Plus, as non-permanant structures, they will not be taxed. Each of the solutions will require solar setup to run fans for summer and lights. This should only cost a few hundred dollar as solar has gone down dramatically.
- Panel
- Battery
- Invertor
- Charge Controller
Finally, Darren, who initially introduced us to zomes mentioned Glauber Salts for heating, and these might also be explored and installed in the base of each unit.
Instructions to Guests
Our highs in summer can soar past 100 and our winters can have occasional hard freezes and temperatures can fluctuate anywhere in between throughout the seasons, so check the weather forecasts before you arrive and plan accordingly. If you are coming during winter or spring, rain or mud boots are helpful.
Please bring minimum and only essential electronic devices. Our land does not include wifi and although we get cellular service here, we encourage minimal electronics usage.
- Bedding:
A bedframe with mattress and mattress pad will be provided. Please bring 1 set of all white all cotton, bamboo or linen sheets, preferably organic. If it is winter, bring a cotton, linen, wool, blanket or down comforter. No, this is not a bring a sleeping bag situation. If you do not have sheets, you may purchase a souvenir 100% linen sheet set from us when you arrive. - Clothing:
Plan to wear all white outfits. Look for cotton, bamboo, hemp, linen fabrics. Polyester, rayon and all man-made plastic fabrics are anti-healing. Refrain from patterns or excessive ornamentation. Other light colors (ecru, khaki, beige) is acceptable. This healing retreat is specifically about chakras and colors. The object is not to interfere with the vibration you are invited to experience. - Jewelry:
Leave all metal jewelry at home. Metals attract EMF (ElectroMagnetic Frequencies) and interferes with healing energy. A wedding band is acceptable, however excessive chains and especially pierced jewelry is detrimental (earrings, nose rings, etc.). - Sunscreen:
Ditch all sunscreen. It damages our creek water and grey-water shower runoff. Opt for a broad rimmed hat and long sleeves and pants/skirts in white or light colors to reflect the sun. - Red Flashlight:
We are a designated firefly habitat. Bright or white lights disrupt firefly breeding. - Snacks:
Three meals will be provided on your “Retreat” day. While there are always healthy snacks on-site, full meals are not provided on the days before and after your retreat. If you want to have an extra favorite food along, please ensure it is vegetarian and organic in nature. No artificial colors or flavors, nor flesh foods are allowed.
Our community kitchen offers the following tools should you need them: fridge/freezer, blender, sun oven, charcoal grill, toaster oven, induction cooktop, dehydrator, coffee maker, tea kettles. - Activities:
Please leave all non-essentials at home.
There are yoga mats, games, books, instruments, drums, and hammocks, etc. already here.
We suggest you use your time here to learn how to un-fill it and just BE!
